
Q1. My new car is still under the Volkswagen Audi Group manufacturers warranty, can I still use Volksport to save on maintenance costs?
Yes you can, new laws now allow us to complete all of your annual service requirements and wear and tear items such as brakes, discs, wipers etc at a fraction of the cost of main dealer prices. Should any major mechanical fault occur simply take it to the nearest franchised dealer and they will carry out the repair free of charge under the terms and conditions of your existing warranty
Q2. My new car has a free service package from the dealer, can Volksport still save me money?
YES, free dealer servicing tends to only cover basic oil services and doesn't include items such as brake pads, discs, tyres and wiper blades to mention but a few, any additional work carried out will be chargeable - at main dealer rates. We advise you check what is free and save money by having any extra work carried out by ourselves.

Q3. My car is getting older now and I need to keep maintenance costs to a minimum?
We understand that maintaining older vehicles can sometimes be very costly. At Volksport we are able to give you a choice of genuine manufacturer parts or suitable cheaper after market parts to help suit your budget.
Q4. Do you fit genuine Volkswagen Audi Group parts?
Yes, we always use approved quality parts.
Q5. Who will be working on my vehicle?
Ally MacGregor is the technician responsible for maintaining your vehicle. Ally is a fully certified Master Technician having worked in Volkswagen Audi franchises for over 15 years. You can find out more about the team in The Team section.
Q6. Can I see them working on my vehicle?
Of course! Here at Volksport we have absolutely nothing to hide. You can speak and watch the technicians at work if you visit the garage.
Q7. How do you keep up with the latest technology for the new vehicles?
As a professional independent Volksport has the very latest diagnostic software which is constantly updated in order to be able to access the latest on board computer systems. In addition our specialist technicians have direct access to VW, Audi and Seat’s technical databases where they are able to look up any technical or maintenance query.
Q8. Are you able to stamp my service history book and reset my service interval?
Yes we are. As a specialist independent we are able to stamp your service history book which should you ever sell your vehicle, confirms to the new owner that services have been carried out by a specialist to exact manufacturer criteria. The service light is automatically reset to the appropriate interval.
Q9. I work during the day and will find it difficult to drop my car to the garage?
Again no problem! We are able to offer a pick up/drop off service. Our driver will pick up the vehicle from your home or place of work in the morning and drop your vehicle back again once the service/repairs have been completed. You are able to pay by credit/debit card over the phone or simply pay the driver cash or cheque (providing amount is covered by your cheque guarantee card).
Q10. Am I able to wait whilst my car is with you?
Yes you can either take a seat in our waiting area or the local area has a café, traditional public house and library.
Q11. Is my car valeted whilst it is with you?
All vehicles booked in for a Volkswagen Audi Group specificed service will receive a complimentary wash and hoover.
Q12. What areas do your cover?
We are based conveniently in Dumbarton East so we cover all areas of Dumbarton, Alexandria, Balloch and Helensburgh and the Gareloch. Being located beside Dumbarton East Station we are handy for clients from Clydebank and Glasgow who choose to leave their vehicles for servicing and repair and use the train.
